We rated Pie #3 Tart Cherry Pie on a scale of 1 - 5:

Appearance - 3.00
Taste - 3.75
Crust - 3.50
Overall - 3.42

Unfortunately, we didn't add enough cornstarch to the cherry filling and it was too runny and made the bottom crust soggy. Per Martha Stewart, we added an egg white wash to the lattice top but won't do this again as we didn't like the "crunch". We'll definitely make this pie again, but with changes.

Did you know. . .at one time it was against the law in Kansas to serve ice cream on cherry pie. Must be true, read it on the internet!

We rated Pie #2 Sweet Potato Pie on a scale of 1 - 5:

Appearance - 3.75
Taste - 3.75
Crust - 4.5
Overall - 4.0

We used a recipe that used less spices in order to get more sweet potato taste. Chuck especially liked the taste of this pie, however, we want to try the spicer version sometime in the future. If you like sweet potatoes, you'll enjoy this pie!

Thinking about next week's Pie #3. . .maybe a lattice-topped cherry pie. . .if we can find some sour cherries.
