New yard cart

Many years ago (at least 15), we purchased a yard cart at Walmart. We LOVED this cart!

We used and abused it. The wheels broke, the handle came apart and after repeated repairs, we were left with this.

As the cart is no longer available, Chuck decided to build a new one. He purchased a couple of used 12-inch bicycles at Pittsburg Recyling for the wheels.

He built the body.

And now we have a new cart!

One fine cart!

The hand pies were very good, but a little dry. Next time we'll add sauce/salsa.

We rated Pie #33 Plum Pie with Sweet Cherries on a scale of 1 - 5:

Taste - 4.35
Crust - 4.00
Appearance - 4.25
Overall - 4.20

On the last several pies, we've been having a little trouble with our crusts breaking apart when we transfer them to the pie plates and will be working on that issue. However, they were flaky and tender after baking. We tried a honey and egg wash on the top crust and thought it tasted good on this pie.

Note from Rita: It was Chuck's turn to pick the pie and when he chose a plum pie, I did a lot of moaning and groaning. Boy, was I ever surprised at how good the pie tasted!
