The first two batches were slightly overbaked and were a little crunchy. The last batch was much better. We love whoopie pies!

What's Old is New Again

Rita's mother's old cedar chest was in pretty rough shape.

We removed the old finish with Citristrip.

Cleaned the surface with naptha and applied a wipe-on poly finish.

After sanding the inside, cedar oil was applied.

It looks beautiful and Mom's old cedar chest will find a new home in Denver!

What a great meat pie! Secret ingredient is the Aussie Meat Pie Spice that we bought in Melbourne at the Gewurzhaus Spice Shop. Check out their website: http://www.gewurzhaus.com.au/
